East Aurora
New York

Sunday, October 17th was a day with limited sun and threats of rain but a determined group of cars with drivers and navigators from the MBCA Niagara section enjoyed a road rallye. Everyone met in East Aurora where they were given a booklet of instructions to follow. The pages included interesting directions, tricky turns, sign posts and route numbers hidden in the text. If after following all of these directions for a little over 2 hours you found yourself lost, there was an envelope that you could open to find the end point. The cars lined up at the Tops Market for a staggered, time start. The rallye ended at the Lakeside Restaurant & Tavern in Hammondsport, New York. This rallye took the members 98 miles away from start in East Aurora if it had been a direct route which of course it wasn't. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch at this restaurant along the lake. The results where tallied and awards given out. All participants received a pumpkin along with a fun filled ride and day out. Thank you to Mike Dombrosio and Jeff Gaffney who put days of work into creating this rallye.
