For the third year, the MBCA Ozark Section attended the annual Ozark Euro Rally All German Car Show in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Twenty-one members and guests attended with 8 Mercedes-Benzes participating, six of which were roadsters. There was a large variety of German cars in the contest this year. One couple were guests from Berryville, Arkansas. The Ozark Section captured four event awards including: the “Top Club Participation,” the “Best Classic Auto Driven by a Woman,” won by Diane Paulsen in her blue 1967 250SL named Crystal, the “Best Representation of a German Auto,” won by Joel and Kathy Menold for their red 2012 SLK350, and the “Best Representation of a Classic Mercedes-Benz Brand,” won by Dennis Anderson for his red 1987 SL560. This was an exciting surprise for everyone! The event started at 9:00 a.m., and awards were presented at 2:00 p.m. This gave everyone the opportunity to be together, roam and admire the hundreds of German cars on the Passion Play grounds, and visit the vendors. Afterwards, many of us closed the day at Sparky’s Restaurant with delicious food and great service. A special thank you to Dennis Anderson and Kathy Menold for organizing this fun event!
